Stock photo agency Masterfile Corporation launched its Ambassador Program in North America.

The Masterfile Ambassador Program was created to encourage designers, photographers and picture buyers who value Masterfile’s products and services to be its ambassadors and recommend Masterfile to their friends and colleagues.

The concept is simple. Ambassadors invite their business friends to check out Masterfile while simultaneously offering them a 20% discount. If any of the invitations lead to eligible sales within 90 days, Masterfile will compensate the Ambassador with a 10% cash Referral Fee.

Clients can use the Referral Code included on their Invitations as many times as they want until it expires. Ambassadors get a Referral Fee every time a person they’ve invited licenses an image using the code they were sent. There is no limit to the number of transactions allowed, or the potential dollar amount an Ambassador may earn.

Geoff Cannon, Executive Vice President, says, “Ambassadors can make real money through this program. A typical transaction exceeds $500, so the Ambassador would earn $50 or more just for making the referral. It is not unreasonable for a well-connected Ambassador to make a few hundred dollars per week. In fact, we pay higher Referral Fees to our Ambassadors than many retailers pay in commissions to their salespeople.”
