Irony of it all....

Thanks David for the comment. It's ironic that the same advances in technology that made it possible for anyone to publish a newspaper ended up putting so many of them out of business. But then we do, thanks to the Web, finally have something close to true "publishing democracy."

Old News is Good News

Great article Gene! Your history finds are amazing. I teach a college class in second level Layout and Typography in a Mass Communications atmosphere. Most of my juniors and seniors have little idea of how a page is printed let alone how many changes have happened in the last 35 years. Thanks!
