You bring up a good point, Jacqui. Maybe each How-to should list the versions of software that the tutorial applies to.

You appear to have addressed my question above but it would be very helpful for those of us who don't upgrade every time to know which versions a particular tutorial can be used for. BTW I have really found these tutorials very helpful.

Correction on Appearance Panel article

The Appearance panel, along with Effects, Graphic Styles, and a plethora of other features first appeared in Illustrator version 9, not CS. So the techniques shared in this article can actually be accomplished up to two version earlier than CS :)
