Apple is a niche player trying to survive and prosper. They don't have much market share. I think they are doing great in this Windows dominated world considering this fact. Apple has to shake their tree for new ideas instead of relying on their computer business alone. They also must be careful not to alienate the software developers by encroaching on that territory and entering the software business that companies like Adobe and Macromedia dominate. Can you say Windows only software? Steve jobs appears to be headed in the right direction with things like the iPod and Apple's music service. It brings Apple into the large and powerful Windows dominated marketplace by making great products for Windows too. Some very savvy moves by Mr. Jobs. Apple also makes great computers but I doubt that is enough to survive on alone. Apple is doing great in this Windows users eyes.
